Your skills and references are what give you credibility in the eyes of your leads. They allow you to showcase your knowledge and highlight what makes you unique.

This may seem like a no-brainer, but a few powerful references from people in senior positions will be much more impactful than a ton of references from people who don't really know your job.

So ask your boss, colleagues or even your clients to endorse and recommend you.
