Make the most of your keyword analysis with Sistrix

Getting keyword ideas using URLs
One of the easiest methods is to enter the URL/Domain for which we are interested in finding keywords in the Sistrix search engine and access the “Keyword Ideas” tool in the left sidebar.


This tool will give us a list of keywords that may be interesting to position on the web.

The most useful thing Sistrix offers us, and it is important to understand, are the search intent filters. When we access the keyword ideas function, it automatically adds the search intent filter “Non-web”. This means that branded keywords, or searches aimed at a specific website, will not be included. It is very useful to leave it like this since we save keywords like “Keyword amazon”. Obviously the tool is not perfect and we can see in the screenshot how it does not filter Lidl, but it is still very useful to get rid of many keywords that we do not need.

Search intent filter
One of the most interesting features that Sistrix offers when performing a keyword analysis is the possibility of filtering them by search intent. To do this, we have several options that we will explain in points:

Do: The user's search intent is to do something, usually to buy something, but it can be any search where the user wants to take an action, such as downloading a program, installing an installation, or any other active process.
Know: In this case the user is trying to find information about a topic.
Website: As we explained above, in this case the user is looking to access a specific website. If someone searches for “Amazon coffee makers” we know that their search intention is to access Amazon.
Visit: Lastly, visit is a type of search that users do when they want to visit a site, usually a local business.
Just as we have these types of search intent, we also have negative options, which are made up of “No do” “No know”… In this case, they are used for the opposite, to filter out search intentions that do not interest us, as high school senior email database was the case in the example “No website”.

On the other hand, there is the Sistrix keyword analysis tool.

This is especially useful when we want to do a keyword analysis for the keywords we want. Here we have several options:


We can put a single keyword, put several, or use keyword discovery.

Keyword explorer with multiple keywords
If we have a list of keywords that we need to analyze, we just have to insert it in the Keyword Explorer field. This is one of the simplest examples, but one that I personally use the least. It is useful for doing a study of a list of keywords that we already have.


By creating a list from the keywords entered, we can access more functions and have more information about the added keywords. This is especially useful for keeping track of a list of keywords.

This feature is quite interesting, since if we add a generic keyword, the tool itself can provide us with a greater number of related keywords, which is very useful for getting ideas when we do not have a list of clear keywords.

When entering a keyword, the Sistrix Keyword Tool summary gives us information about the entered keyword, but the most interesting thing is these three tables.


Each of them is very useful to expand our keyword research and make it as complete as possible.

Contains all keywords: This is especially useful for getting longtails for keywords that interest us. That is, if we want a longtail for “Automatic coffee makers” the tool will give us ideas for keywords that already contain our input, such as “Automatic coffee makers with grinder”
Search suggestions: This is similar to the previous point, but in this case it does not take into account only the keywords entered, but rather offers suggestions based on the keywords related to those we have entered. For example, when entering "Automatic coffee makers" we missed the keywords "Automatic coffee maker with grinder" because they were singular. It is a very simple example but this function can give us some interesting ideas that we had not taken into account.
Questions: This is useful to be able to add questions that users ask that will help us add value to the content, to position for interesting keywords, and if we have the questions schema, perhaps obtain a FAQ module.
Keyword research with Sistrix Discovery
I'll leave Sistrix discovery for last, which is a real monster that will help us a lot with our keyword research and what I usually use the most. If we enter one or more words, it will give us a large number of keyword ideas at a glance.

A very clear example of what I like most about this tool is entering the root of a keyword, as in this case we are dealing with coffee makers I will put only “Coffee makers”


And we see how, in addition to the information on the keyword we have entered, it will give us a list of keyword ideas for our keyword research.

And one of the things I like most about Discovery is the groups. Groups are very useful for detecting possible categorizations on the web. In this case, just by looking at the groups section on the left side of the screenshot, we can create categories for Nespresso, capsules, Italian, express…

Discovery brings together all the good things we have mentioned throughout the post. It groups keywords, gives us ideas, lets us filter by search intent… It is a very powerful tool to keep in mind.

As we have seen throughout the post, Sistrix is ​​a more than valid tool for doing our keyword analysis. Between its improvements to the tool's usability and above all its great improvement in the keyword database, Sistrix is ​​one of the TOP tools for doing keyword research.
