A co-founder of a legal entity may be either an individual or another legal entity. The decision on the participation of a new co-owner is made according to a certain procedure directly by the business owner with the participation of other founders. For this, a general meeting is held, the minutes of the meeting are drawn up, and if the conclusion is positive, it is necessary to notify the tax authorities about it and make changes to the constituent documents.
The law limits the maximum number of co-founders of a limited liability company to no more than 50. If this number is greater, then it is necessary to reorganize the company into a joint-stock company.
Who has the right to become a co-founder of an LLC

For certain categories of persons, the law directly prohibits participation in commercial organizations. This applies to military personnel serving under contract, employees of municipal or state authorities. Having the status of an individual entrepreneur is not a basis for limiting the right to become a co-founder of another company.
