Tambov residents' deposits grew to 171 billion rubles in the first six months of 2024, the Bank of Russia's Tambov branch reported. 70 percent of the total amount are Tambov residents' accounts on term deposits. At the end of the first half of this year, population deposits accounted for 72.5% of all funds attracted by banks.

Yuri Ryabov, head of the economic department of the Tambov branch of the Bank of Russia: “Tambov residents are choosing a savings model of behavior. As for deposits and accounts of individuals, small and medium entrepreneurs, they are insured for up to 1.4 million rubles. Up to 10 million are insured in escrow accounts.
