Philip Walton, a Google engineer working on website performance, responded that Web Vitals are mostly not a ranking factor.
During the AMA, Google's John Mueller confirmed that while CWV does affect rankings, relevance also plays a big role. If website A is faster than website B, but B is more relevant to the search user's query, website B would still outperform A.
Mueller also noted that websites that move germany phone number data from the "needs improvement" category to the "good" category may see an improvement in their rankings. But websites that are already good and improve their speed by a millisecond or two may not see any changes in their rankings.
In 2021, Google updated the original blog announcement for CWV, confirming that the rollout of the page experience would be completed in August 2021.
The following year, in September 2022, Mueller mentioned the Page Experience Rating factor in a Reddit comment about accurate speed testing tools.
"If you jump to web.dev, you'll see that Google has a lot of metrics, more than just one numerical score.
Some of these are grouped as "core web vital signs" and have ways you can determine them in the field (using "real user metrics" [RUM] - what they actually saw), as well as "lab tests" (so you can test things on your own end).
