The organization itself can still learn a lot

Post by Bappy11 »

Last Wednesday, the congress 'Towards an effective social media strategy' was organized in 't Spant in Bussum , for organizations that want to start with social media. I was there on behalf of Frankwatching and describe in this article what I learned and what the organization's mistakes were.

When you think of an event in 't Spant in Bussum, don't immediately think of a large theatre hall packed with an enthusiastic audience. The building also has smaller halls. And to be honest: for this event, the smallest hall was big enough. The event only managed to attract forty visitors (of which about 12 speakers who were each allowed to bring a guest). The big quiz question during the breaks was to discover the paying visitor at this event between the speakers with their guests, the sponsors and journalists-bloggers. Perhaps the entrance fee of €695 is too high for an event of this calibre.

It is noticeable that the social media strategy of the organization itself is still typically macedonia phone number list phase 1.0. There is no hashtag that is communicated around the registration, the Twitter accounts of speakers are not shared in advance and information from the website of the event can hardly be shared. Apparently, organizer OGZ can also learn a lot from its own event.

But well, as a journalist of Frankwatching you don't come for the entourage, but for the content. The quality of that varies. It is noticeable that the presentations for die-hard social media experts are somewhat superficial. But are you considering starting your company with social media? Then the presentations are very theoretical and conceptual. The conference never really manages to be sharp. Are there no nice insights at all? Of course there are! From all the presentations I found the following interesting.
