Presentation of the EMMA's

Post by Bappy11 »

No conference without a summary of the day and this year it was the turn of the first professional wheelchair comedian in the Netherlands: Jaap Bressers . Jaap held up a beautiful mirror to the e-mail industry present, but in the end it was all about one thing; the presentation of the EMMA's.

The nominees were Boekvandaag.nl, EasyToBook.com and Hunkemöller. Although jury chairman Michael Straathof praised the nominees for their cases, there was a clear critical note for all three. In particular, the vague goals and results did not make the cases particularly strong. That is why this year for the first time there are no three winners of an EMMA, but only a (well-deserved) Bronze EMMA for EasyToBook.com. EasyToBook.com realised the 'TripAssistant e-mail' in collaboration with Ematters, a fully automated and personalised e-mail campaign. The e-mail combines multiple sources of information, such as weather, events and webshop articles related to the destination.

Ultimately, a well-deserved winner, but the award ceremony took hong kong phone number list place in a moderately filled hall that was also smaller than in previous years. Add to that a jury that was not convinced by all the nominated cases and an audience that was very critical. All in all, it was a rather bleak atmosphere for a lustrum edition of the E-mail Marketing Conference. A sign that not only the developments in the field of e-mail, but especially also the concepts of events in the e-mail industry are starting to suffer from the aging population? Maybe it is time for some fresh blood and rejuvenation, because Andrew Kordek showed that the role of e-mail is far from over.

*Update(s): The slides of the presentations of the E-mail Marketing Conference can be found on the website of DDMA . In addition, a link to the benchmark of E-Village (now also Q1 and Q2 2011) has been added.
