While their media sector is hit by the economic consequences of Covid-19, freelance journalists , grouped within the collective " Journalistes Solidaires " decide to devote themselves to deciphering and verifying information deemed dubious.

This virtual and collaborative editorial team was created at the initiative of journalist Julien Cazenave in early March 2020. In less than two months, the “JS – Journalistes Solidaires” collective has made a place for itself in the world of fact-checking.

It is now seeking to perpetuate itself and is employment database questioning the role of AI in the fight against disinformation.


Around sixty journalists, developers , translators, proofreaders and motion designers work as volunteers for the JS – Journalistes Solidaires collective .

The journalists first made themselves known via a Facebook page. They then participated in the EUvsVirus Hackathon at the end of April 2020. Their work is now available in French and English .
