Naturally, other components in the system also played a role, as the processor alone wasn’t responsible for delivering such a smooth experience. For example, without a fast NVMe SSD like my Kingston KC3000 or 32GB of Kingston FURY Renegade memory, which can run at least 7200 MTs, my test machine’s performance would likely have been noticeably different.

The Ryzen 5 7600X also proved to be a solid choice for gaming. When paired with a good graphics card, my AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, it delivered high frame rates in all games, even at high quality settings and 4K resolution. I played a bit of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Horizon Forbidden West , and both games ran smoothly, with the CPU showing no signs of bottlenecking. While it may not match the raw power of higher-end models, it offers more than enough performance for smooth gaming, making it a great option for those looking to build a gaming PC on a budget.
