So, we will look at the process of painting laminated timber step by step, so that you know what to do:
House sanding. Your task is to clean and level the cayman islands mobile database of the walls. All work is done using a sanding machine. The sanding wheel cloth is fine-dispersed. Despite the fact that glued beams are relatively smooth, such treatment will help clean its pores, hide imperfections and minor defects, and, most importantly, improve the adhesion of the material to the paint.
Processing the ends of a house made of glued beams with a sealant. We mentioned the importance of this procedure. Moisture will not penetrate into the wood, as a result of which the operational period of the wood will increase.
Treating wood with an antiseptic against microorganisms and decay. The process is quite simple, similar to priming walls. You need to apply the antiseptic with a brush or roller over the entire surface, without missing any areas.
Applying the primer. The mixture will improve the adhesion and durability of the coating. With it, the quality of painting is much better. Again, do not skip areas, and after applying, wait until the primer dries.
There are some points here. The operation is carried out in several steps. One layer of paint is not enough. Most often, 2 or 3 layers are applied. Thus, the coating will be reliable, stable and durable.
You decide what exactly to apply the paint with: a brush, a roller or a spray gun. It is most convenient to work with a spray gun. It applies the composition to the surface evenly, efficiently and quickly. However, not everyone has one or can afford to buy one. Painting with a brush takes quite a long time, but a roller is the best option. Thanks to the tray, you can control the amount of paint, and it will be easier to apply. Hard-to-reach places can be treated with a brush.
Once you have applied the first coat and the walls are painted, it is important to wait for the paint to dry. You will find this information on the manufacturer's packaging or in the instructions. Once the first coat has dried, you can proceed to the second, etc.
All that remains is to apply paint to the entire surface of the laminated timber walls. That's it, your house is painted. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the painting technology from this video:
