Tourism trends according to industry experts

Post by Reddi1 »

We presented our study of the tourism sector together with a group of experts with the aim of reflecting and sharing ideas. Here is a summary with some of the most interesting points of the session.
Those of us who are involved in the tourism industry, or have some connection to it, know that our sector is experiencing a major disruption. This is not just another stage, we are talking about the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We are witnessing how new trends in tourism are emerging that are not only here to stay but also to transform everything.

Given this scenario, a few months ago, Joantxo Llantada hungary phone number data and I decided to prepare a report that would answer all the questions we were asking ourselves and that, we were convinced, were also on the minds of other professionals in the sector. After many hours of analysis, we managed to create a “Sector study and report on trends in the tourism industry ”.

The aim of this report is to resolve unknowns, invite reflection and generate debate, which is why we wanted to present it to an important community of experts on June 6. Together with the Instituto de Empresa and the IE Tourism Club, we organized an event in which Ramón Estalella, Secretary General of CEHAT and President of the IE Tourism Club, participated; Manuel Lara, Director of Promotion Visit Costa del Sol; Joantxo Llantada, Expert in Tourism Innovation; Antonio López de Ávila, IE Travel & Tourism Innovation Initiative; María Ángeles Santos, Regional Director for Iberia of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sergio Zertuche, CMO of Palladium Hotel Group.

After a brief intervention by Ramón Estalella and Antonio López de Ávila, who presented the report, saying that it is a “very useful tool for leading the future”, the event began, which we wanted to call “Journey to the future of tourism” . For almost three hours we took a tour of the present and what we believe will be the horizon of our sector.

Together with the experts, and in front of almost a hundred attendees, we returned to some of the key themes that we discussed in depth in the tourism trends report : authenticity, culture, technology and innovation as the four main variables that can bring value to companies in the near future.
