Onpage Section
The first section of this Optimizer is OnPage.
This part of the tool is super useful for fixing all kinds of errors that occur on the web. Sistrix analyzes a lot of information and reports it to us in this tool so we can see what to fix and improve. Some of the things it offers us are:
Crawling problems
On-page errors and improvements (Hierarchy of H's, Titles, descriptions and many other types of variables that exist in the OnPage SEO sub-branch.)
Indexability ( Canonicals , noindex or any policy that affects the indexability of URLs)
Resources (All types of web files. Images, scripts, style sheets…)
Performance (Loading times and URL sizes)
Internal linking
External link
Localization (Mostly Hreflang)
Redirects
Sitemap
Encryption (SSL Certificate)
OpenGraph (Tags for sharing URLs on social networks)
If we click on any of the 3 options, for example on “errors”, it will show us in a classified way all the errors that the crawler has found on the web. And if we click on any of them, it will show us a list of URLs where the error is located and all the necessary details so that we can solve it in a simple way.
For this capture we have used another website that has more and more varied errors.
As we fix these errors, we can re-launch the crawler to check that we have fixed all our issues.
As an extra but not going into much detail are the subsections Tools and Expert Mode.
In the tools subsection we mainly find:
HTML Search: Allows us to find URLs that have a specific code. It is very useful for some more technical tasks , where we need to find URLs that contain a specific code.
URL explorer: Where we can enter a URL and it will give us information about errors, warnings and improvements that we can apply to it.
Crawling log: This is simply a log that provides us with all the data on the crawls that the tool has performed. Its status, the time it has taken, the number of URLs it has crawled...
Expert mode
URLs: Gives us a list of all the URLs that the tool has crawled, with various information about each URL.
Links: Gives us a list of all the links that the crawler has found, the origin and hospital contact email database destination as well as the status of each one, also whether it is follow or nofollow.
Resources: Gives us a list of images, scripts, style sheets… and any resources that exist on the website, as well as their status.
Resource usage: Returns a list of resources and their size and loading time. Ideal for optimizing loading speed.
Cookies: Gives us a list of the cookies that the website has.
Insights Section
The insights section is more oriented towards the technical and WPO (website performance and loading speed optimization) part.
Lighthouse
When we access it, we find information related to PageSpeed. The Lighthouse score (Google's tool that offers a score for the loading speed and web performance of the site) and information about the core web vitals. As well as a graph with the evolution of the Lighthouse score throughout each periodic crawl.
This section, more geared towards developers, will help us get the most out of our website, as the tool graphically shows us all the resources that load on the website, in what order and how long each one takes.
Uptime
In the “Uptime” section, the tool tracks the time during which our website is operational. This is useful to know if we are having problems with the hosting or something that is causing our website to crash on a recurring basis.
Page depth
Now, the last part of the Insights section that we will discuss in this post is page depth. This will be very useful to know the number of clicks or jumps that a user must make to reach a specific page. We generally use this to avoid having important pages too far from the homepage, both for user experience and to ensure that internal linking is as optimal as possible, since we are interested in both users and crawlers reaching our best URLs as easily as possible.
Rankings
Improve your SEO!
Rankings are one of Sistrix's strong points. In the ranking we have the famous Visibility Index. One of the main attractions of the tool. If we have configured the keywords and competitors when registering the project, Sistrix will analyze the visibility index and the keywords to show us the evolution of each one. In the overview section, it will give us a summary of the visibility index of the project, and the evolution of the keywords.
This section of optimizer is mainly useful for monitoring or reporting on our projects.
Visibility index
As we mentioned earlier, one of the features that makes Sistrix most famous is its visibility index. When you register your project in Optimizer, it will start monitoring the visibility index of your project, as well as that of any competitors that you have provided when registering the project.
URLs
In the URLs section, we can see a summary of each URL and the number of keywords they have in TOP 10 and TOP 100.
Changes in the ranking
Another of the most powerful functions that this tool offers us, and one of my favorites, is the ranking changes feature. With this feature we can see the evolution of the keywords between two dates that we want, super useful to see the evolution that the project has had and understand the reason for the changes in the visibility index.
Conclusion
As we said at the beginning, optimizer is a small SEO Swiss Army knife. This tool offers us a large number of utilities to, as its name indicates, optimize our website and also to monitor and report. Mainly, the whole Onpage part, which is where this post has focused the most, is one of the ones we like the most, since Sistrix can detect a lot of improvements in our website thanks to its crawling, and its way of showing it is super intuitive, which makes improving our website super simple.
