Bitrix24 North Star or “Guiding Star” was the version of the platform released in November 2022.
The name was inspired by the platform's goal, which is to guide customers and partners to go further using the updates that are released. The metaphor of the guiding star came to show that the updates and new products launched will guide users even in the most difficult moments.
The new features brought by the platform ranged from design, to important updates in CRM , new mobile tasks, and even the new product, Bitrix24 Sign (in Beta version).

Catalog access permissions
Until recently, there was no specific permission for access to the product registration area on the platform.
From North Star onwards, permissions have been extended to the inventory and product areas. You can now determine the level of access that collaborators have within the catalog. In other words, you can define who has permission to create new products, edit existing products, edit prices, apply discounts, and more.
Additionally, an area was included for the company's suppliers, an important function for those who work with products and need to enter this type of information.
Access permissions in the Bitrix24 Catalog can be used to:
Prevent certain users from creating and editing products/prices and applying discounts;
Easily configure access permissions for different user categories (sales representatives, sales managers, people who manage inventory, among others);
Create your own categories with a defined number of access permissions;
Prevent certain users from viewing wholesale prices;
Restrict a user's access to only the inventory they work on.
