Suggest a solution

Post by Maksudasm »

After the interlocutor’s “pain” has been revealed, it is necessary (approximately at the eighth to tenth second of the pitch) to offer an intriguing, catchy and realistic solution.

Let's give an example of this elevator pitch element: "We have a 20% discount for regular partners, so you can save up to 100,000 rubles a year on paper alone!"

The numbers should be impressive but realistic.

Reveal the uniqueness of your offer

The pitch text must include a unique rich people data package offer. For example: "We also offer a service for printing company logos on diaries" or "Only our company provides free pens when ordering a logo application service."

A unique offer should demonstrate the benefits of your promotion compared to competitors. To do this, it needs to be made special and catchy.

Engage the listener

This is the final and most important stage of the elevator pitch. If the previous phrases failed to really “hook” the interlocutor, there is still an opportunity to correct the situation. It is important to interest the listener: ask a question, make a compliment or make a good joke to leave a “pleasant aftertaste”.

After completing the pitch, do not forget to offer to exchange contact details. You can give your interlocutor your business card or ask for their contacts to continue the conversation.

Elevator pitch rules
There is no need to rush

Don't constantly think about time. It's okay if your pitch lasts 30 seconds longer than two minutes. The desire to quickly deliver a planned mini-presentation often leads to the speech becoming confusing and difficult to understand. Smile, relax, and calmly begin your pitch.

Avoid incoherent phrases

To meet this requirement, you should rehearse your presentation well and listen to your speech from the outside. Such preparation will help prevent inaccurate wording, unclear pronunciation, the use of inappropriate interjections and filler words.

Elevator pitch should sound natural

To better remember your pitch, you should practice more. This statement is beyond doubt. But there is also a risk of memorizing the speech to such an extent that it becomes excessively monotonous, without meaningful accents.

Don't try to reproduce a prepared presentation word for word. Consider it as a script and improvise it based on the specific situation.

It is important to remember about intonation and the use of body language. Gestures should be moderate, and the intonation of speech should be natural and correspond to the semantic load.

Smile and use eye contact

When delivering your pitch, be confident and friendly towards the listener. Your posture should be open, smile and make eye contact with the listener more often. This will radiate confidence and gain trust.
