The less, the better (that's the power of scarcity)

Post by muniyaakter »

A circle in which typical reselling products, being limited editions that also push on the will of each of us to emerge from the crowd , are the fulcrum.

And you know, this is where the parallel market of dishonest resellers, unauthorized copies and damn low prices comes from…

We all, more or less, live off FOMO, but not all of us have the financial resources to give in to it with products resold for a fortune.

This is the control this fear has over us, and the incredible senegal consumer mobile number list advantage it represents for the marketing of capable retailers.

Where capable, however, does not imply that they are dishonest.

Anyone who knows marketing psychology knows that scarcity , the appeal to the limited quantity of a product placed on the market, is a very powerful lever.

Research and field experience prove it: the fact that a product is available in very limited quantities makes it more desirable.

The competition to have it becomes fierce, because that same product becomes a symbol of the desire for rebellion against the masses that each of us has and that the possession of a unique product can satisfy.

The FOMO effect is amplified and this (along with everything else) leads to prices rising , as well as raising the perceived value of the product itself.

Scarcity is certainly one of the reasons for the success of Lidl shoes and Nutella Biscuits, as it is for several products that are only released on the market in limited quantities.

When Used Beats New: The Growth of Second Hand
Another key factor to consider in understanding the boom in the reselling business is this…

The revaluation of Second Hand by the new generations.

The issues of sustainability, respect for the environment and social ethics are becoming an increasingly hot topic, taken to heart.
