Since standing still isn't an option in our industry, we focused on the topics of "Digital User Experience" and "The Potential of Online Marketing" in our presentations. The two speakers, Michael Hartmann and Jan Brakebusch, were able to convey these topics perfectly thanks to their years of expertise.
After all the astronauts had gathered in our ReachX villa at 6 p.m. and enjoyed the pizza, the lectures started at 7 p.m.:
Digital User Experience by Prof. Michael Hartmann (finalart)
Your website – your traffic… and now what? The managing director of finalart began his presentation at 7 p.m. and explained how customers can be guided and inspired through design. Using practical examples, Michael illustrated why an emotional brand story and clear user guidance are effective.
The picture shows Michael Hartmann during his lecture on the moon landing.
He explained the topics of user interface design, digital user experience, and brand building in a clear and engaging way, suitable for beginners and experts alike. The presentation was designed to enable listeners to directly apply the knowledge gained to optimizing their own websites and online shops.
With the slogan of Frank Chimero (designer) “People ignore design that ignores the uk phone number data people” he introduced the topic of user interface design and here 10 simple principles for optimizing user guidance.
These are:
Visible system status
Users should always be informed about the current status (where they are, …)
Conformity between system and reality – this includes speaking the language of the user
User control and freedom – a good example for us here was the fact that actions are often performed accidentally. A "marked" emergency exit helps prevent the user from being lost at that point.
Consistency and standardization – and for that, you have to remain consistent. Internally and externally.
Error prevention – design can help here too
Recognition instead of memory – therefore information must be made visible and easily accessible.
Flexibility and efficiency of use – conversely, this also means offering flexible processes so that actions can be carried out as needed.
Aesthetic and minimalist design – focus on the essentials
Help users identify, diagnose, and fix errors – and to do so, inform them when an error occurs, communicate when something goes wrong, and offer a solution.
Help and documentation – The interface shouldn't require any additional explanation. However, it may be necessary to provide documentation to help users understand how to do something.
A small step for you, but a giant leap for your online marketing knowledge
