Price and value for money

There is one area, however, where Semrush definitely wins in terms of ease of use: its people tools.

Its CRM-style approach to link building means that most of the time you can identify leads and contact them, whereas with Ahrefs it's more like exporting data to Excel which you then re-import into other apps (contact finders, email marketing tools, etc.) for informational purposes.

Ultimately, if you want to dive in and get quick, digestible data, Ahrefs is probably the best choice. For project work and marketing, Semrush is the best option.

Compared to other types oman phone number list of SaaS (software as a service) apps, Ahrefs and Semrush are expensive.

However, this is understandable, since you are not only paying for functionality, you are paying for access to a lot of data, including information about your competitors.

Semrush offers 3 main pricing plans :

Pro: $119.95 per month

Guru: $229.95/month

Business: $449.95/month

Enterprise users can also create a custom "Enterprise" plan - the fee for this is negotiable, as are the features.

Paying in advance for a year gives you a 16% discount and there's a free trial available.

Ahrefs comes in four flavors:

Lite: $99/month

Standard: $179 per month

Advanced: $399/month

Agency: $999 per month

If you pay for a year upfront, Ahrefs gives you two months free.

As for which is better, it will depend largely on your business requirements (and budget).

However, there are a few key points to consider when trying to scale down that will provide the greatest return on investment for your particular organization.

Number of users
By default, all Semrush plans come with only one account. You must pay an additional monthly fee to add more users to your plan ($45 per month for a “Pro” user, $80 per month for a “Guru” user, and $100 per month for a “Business” user).

Ahrefs is more generous in this regard, offering Advanced and Agency plans that allow for 3 or 5 user accounts respectively.
