In the world of conversion rate optimization, micro-promises can be used in two ways:

First, you can include micro-commitments at the top of your sales funnel. For example, instead of asking people to commit to an expensive annual plan, you can offer a free trial or a monthly membership.

Second, you can emphasize smaller promises in your sales copy. For example, a call to action like “view a sample” doesn’t sound as promising as “get a free quote”…even though they’re essentially the same thing.
