the belief that customers, users and developers have the same understanding of the goals and objectives of the enterprise;

creation of a basis for the formation of requirements for software that automates the business processes of an enterprise (software requirements are formed on the basis of a business model).

One of the most important elements of a business process model is business rules or domain rules. Typical business rules are corporate policy and state laws. Business rules are usually formed in a special document and sometimes reflected in models.

To detail business models, I use decomposition. Decomposition in the general sense is a method that allows you to replace the solution of one large-scale problem with the solution of a series of smaller problems, splitting an element into components depending on the established criterion.

This is the order in which business processes are described:

First, the goals of the description are determined;

then they describe the environment, determine the inputs and outputs of the business process, and construct IDEF0 diagrams;

describe the functional structure (process action), build IDEF3 diagrams;

describe the flows (information, financial, material) of the process, build DFD diagrams;

create an organizational structure of the process (departments, participants, responsible persons).
