A separate profession requires a trade association

During that period, many discussions arose with a very high percentage of active members. In these discussions, ideas, experiences and visions were coordinated, completed and put into words. How do you see the profession, how do you describe your function, what do you work with, how do you solve that, what is your place within the organization you work for, how do you explain your profession and the importance of your work? Meetings were also organized to share and develop knowledge, and to meet each other.

The quality of the discussions on LinkedIn and the meetings, the speed at which meetings were fully booked are indications of the professionalism and involvement of participants and organizations. It shows that there is a need for quality and synergy, for clarification, to bring together fragmented knowledge and to professionalize knowledge of the profession.

It also shows that community management is a profession in itself. With its own domain that needs to be defined, so that the world knows what to expect from a community manager.

In order to be able to define that domain, to be able to give an explanation to the field and to saudi arabia phone number list contribute to professionalization, the professional association Community Management Nederland (CMNL) was founded on February 7th. With this professional association, the informal association of community managers gets an official platform and representation.

The professional association has set itself the goal of providing clarification and professionalization, promoting the development of online community management and related services in general, promoting the common interests of its members and making the profession known to third parties. With the professional constituency, the results of the dialogue on LinkedIn and meetings, the professional association will work on clear publications and recommendations, (scientific) research into the development of the market and the field, accreditation, training advice, consolidation of the profession, and the development of function and competence profiles.
