Ideas to use at your next event

Post by Bappy11 »

Today is one of the biggest events of the year. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’ve probably been on another planet for the past few days. The hashtag #royalwedding has been gaining traction on Twitter for days now. Newspapers are reporting daily on the first big wedding of the century. As marketers and managers, we can learn a lot from this event and apply the knowledge we’ve gained to our own marketing.

Sneak previews : why don’t you also launch a sneak preview of a detail of your event? I’ve read that Kate wants to change some of the traditional wedding vows. The press has jumped on it en masse, but it has also generated a lot of conversation among a wide audience. Maybe there are some fun facts that you can share in advance?
Multimedia : Most events are organized offline. Try to find partners who poland phone number list can livestream your event online (or do it yourself). Millions of people will watch the wedding live, billions on TV, but I am sure millions more will be on social media. It is definitely a plus if you involve all media in the event you are organizing.
Traditional online media and social media go hand in hand : TV channel websites will broadcast the event, but so will YouTube. The lesson is that one should not exclude the other. It all comes down to reaching as many people as possible.
Announce a #tag in advance. Don’t wait until the event starts to launch a #tag; make sure people know in advance how to communicate about it, that they can tell their network about you. In addition to a #tag, it’s also a smart idea to start a Facebook and LinkedIn event that people can join.
Give people the chance to engage . For the real fans of the princely wedding, there are several online locations where they can wish the young couple happiness. There is a Flickr photo album and a guestbook on YouTube . Why not create similar channels where your customers/target groups can engage when you organize an event?
If you know of any other lessons to learn from this marriage, please share!
