Do you remember where you were that afternoon? Do you remember what you were doing?

I was doing my final editorial work at a local newspaper, which meant that I didn't start working until after lunch and worked until late at night. And that day was to be a memorable one. At 2:45 p.m. Swiss time, a plane crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York. At some point, an employee from prepress came to south korea rcs data our office. He wanted to see the pictures on TV. It turned out that the only TV in the whole building was in our office. We asked the foreign editors whether a special page was planned for this event.

At 3:03 p.m., events took a dramatic turn. Another plane destroyed the second WTC tower. It was immediately clear to us that a state of emergency was in effect from now on. Almost the entire business immediately gathered in front of the mini-TV in the editorial office. We increased the size of the newspaper for the following day's edition by a few pages. Everyone helped. The printing presses started up much too late. And we editors did not leave the business until the early hours of the morning, after we had helped in the printing shop to put the second newspaper bundle into the first by hand. We were faster than the machines.
